The ©OLUMBEURS portfolio is the precursor of Thirteen Diversified Fund. Thirteen Diversified Fund also makes use of an active event-driven index hedge strategy, whereby the portfolio is hedged with futures on different liquid indices, like the S&P 500. The cash generated through the index hedge is instantly reinvested in the existing portfolio on lower levels. Compounding is therefore a very important element of Thirteen Diversified Fund’s investment strategy.

On the long side there are some small differences between the ©OLUMBEURS portfolio and the portfolio of Thirteen Diversified Fund. The portfolio of Thirteen Diversified Fund has a very long investment scope and focuses more on healthy listed companies. Like the ©OLUMBEURS portfolio, Thirteen Diversified Fund does not make use of leverage.
